Golf Course Review

Chart Hills Golf Club is located in the affluent countryside of Kent near Biddenden. The course was designed by Steve Smyers and Sir Nick Faldo and had its heyday in the 2000s. The golf course suffered due to a lack of investment in maintenance and issues relating to construction.

Chart Hills Golf Club Restoration

Under new management, the work to restore Chart Hills to its former glory is ongoing with work due for completion and ready for play Spring 2022. Investment has been significant with drainage, sand capping, and reseeding on all 18 holes.

The golf course isn’t the only bit receiving an upgrade with significant improvements to the clubhouse, pro shop, and changing rooms ongoing.

Chart Hills Destiny

The ambition is for the Kent-based club to be a high-end, exclusive members club in a similar vein to other well-known private clubs in Surrey and Berkshire. Time will tell whether this is the new Queenwood or Beaverbrook but one thing is for certain, no corners are being cut in making the attempt!

Travelling Nearby?

An easy trek from London, the Addington, and Chart Hills would be ideal and contrasting bookends to a Kent golf coast holiday. Add Princes, Royal St Georges, Royal Cinque Ports, Littlestone, Rye, and even the short course at North Foreland and you’ve got yourself an epic golf trip of varied golf.
