Appleby Golf Club

A Willie Fernie located high on moorland in Cumbria!

Appleby Golf Club

Cumbria, England

Overview

You won't find the golf course on many Top 100 lists... it did place 62 in the Top 100 Fun Golf Courses in GB&I 2021. However, it is sneaky good and you'll never forget the 5th or 15th. That's two unforgettable holes for a green fee that is next to nothing!

With regards to the 15th, rarely is a template as good or better than the original... could Appleby Golf Club's Dell, the 15th, be the one? Perhaps - known as Bell, it cracked Today's Golfer's GB&I Top 100 Finest Golf Holes in 2021.

The recipe is simple: fine grass, natural undulations, and titillating greens...
