Golf Course Review

The Grove is perhaps best known as the host of the 2006 WGC-American Express Championship won by Tiger Woods.  Ten years later in 2016, the course hosted the British Masters which was won by Alex Noren.

The Grove Synopsis

300 acres of stunning Hertfordshire countryside was used to create the ‘ultimate five-star retreat.’ Just 18 miles from London, the former home of the Earls of Claredon now houses a hotel and spa and in its estate a 7152-yard golf course.

Uniquely the club isn’t a club at all! There are no members – with all play being corporate or pay and play.

Kyle Phillips Portfolio

Kyle Phillips, the golf course architect and golf course consultant, is responsible for three golf courses in the UK. The other two are links in Scotland: Kingsbarns and Dundonald Golf Links. The Grove represents his only English, inland, and parkland design on British soil.
