Brian Schneider (Principal – Renaissance Golf Design) is the lead consulting golf course architect. Golf course architect shapers Angela Moser (Moser Golf) and Clyde Johnson (Cunnin’ Golf Design) round out the three architect shapers on the team. Chris Haspell (Chris Haspell & Associates) will serve as agronomist and construction consultant. Jasper Miners (Evalu18 Ltd) will help coordinate the team and help with finishing. In addition, his years of historical research will provide the foundation for the project. The team collectively has experience on 32 of the World’s Top 100 Golf Course on the Golf.com World Ranking in the form of restorations, new builds, and agronomy consultancy.
Harry Colt & St George’s Hill
Harry Colt is widely considered to be the greatest golf course architect of all time. His portfolio of works is prolific and no other architect produced a depth of quality as did Mr Colt. Whether it was a new build or renovation, Harry Colt’s work, and legacy are second to none, past or present.
St George’s Hill is an example of Harry Colt’s most audacious work. Mr Colt was pushing the envelope of what golf course architecture was and showing future generations what it could be. St George’s Hill was one of the few golf courses he personally oversaw from planning through to complete construction. When newly completed, it was considered the ‘crowning achievement’ the great man’s work.
