Michael G. Miller was the Director of Golf at Riviera Country Club and a golf professional for 28 years. He began painting and trained for ten years in a nineteenth-century style. Since 1994, he has been painting golf landscapes.
Whether for a private collection or pride of place in a clubhouse, commissions can be undertaken using a photograph for inspiration. The intended size of the original, the season, weather, time of day, and architectural features of the hole are agreed. Michael then employs poetic license in mood, perspective, colour, and a variety of other variables.
