Biography

Andy holds a Sports Turf Management qualification supplemented by more than 20 years of practical experience at some of England's most acclaimed clubs.

Currently the Course Manager at Woking he held the same position at Buckinghamshire Resort. However, it was his time at Burhill, where Andy developed his unique speciality of re-establishing heather. His heather craft is also seen at the prestigious Queenwood where he helped introduce it from scratch over six years.

A healthy working relationship established with Tim Lobb, whose current influence at the Berkshire and St George's Hill, will help further the course at Woking. Tree removal, irrigation, shaping, and almost 10,000 sq. m of heather regeneration will continue under Andy's direction and Tim's advisement.

Andy has also introduced a program of member course walks where he educates the membership and advises on the reasons behind changes and the benefit to the course and club.
