At A Glance

The only 9-holer to host the Open Championship, not once but six times between 1874 and 1891!

It is the oldest golf course in the world! Golf was played here in 1672. Reputedly, Mary Queen of Scots played here in 1607.

The first half-way house was Mrs.Forman's Inn which served golfers through a hatch in the wall.

One time home to the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers.
