Mount Juliet Estate was the host of the 2002 WGC American Express Championship won by Tiger Woods. Two years later in 2004, Ernie Els would take the crown.

Mount Juliet has also hosted the Irish Open in 1993, 1994, 1995, and in 2021.

The club played host to Fred Couples and Tom Watson in 1997 for Shell's Wonderful World of Golf.

A little bit like the Ladies Putting Green at St Andrews, Mount Juliet has its own 18-hole Putting Course.

Golf Course Review

Mount Juliet Estate is a luxury 5-star golf hotel near Thomastown, County Kilkenny, Ireland. The hotel features a Jack Nicklaus designed parkland golf course on a 1500 acre estate with a posh 18th-century mansion as the clubhouse.

Mount Juliet Estate is in the running for the best parkland golf course in Ireland. Perhaps geared more toward deep-pocketed American visitors wanting for a taste of home than the locals, the course features five man-made lakes while the River Nore runs alongside the course.

It is jaw-droppingly beautiful and perfectly maintained golf in the formulaic pattern so often seen the other side of the Atlantic.
