Overview

Laid out in The Leithen Valley, Innerleithen Golf Club is a throwback to early inland golf dating to 1886! The course is found six miles from Peebles in the Scottish Borders.

Especially of interest to Willie Park Jr fans, this is the genesis of the mind which brought you: Aldeburgh, Berkhamsted, Gullane 2 and 3, Goswick, Hollinwell, Huntercombe, Lindrick, Parkstone, Shiskine, Silloth-on-Solway, Sunningdale Old, Worplesdon and Maidstone in the USA.

The Leithen Road (B709) bisects the site while Leithen Water runs alongside the 2nd, 7th, 8th and 9th. The Caberston Forest edges the high ground on the 3rd, 5th and 6th.

The 9 hole course features three par 3's, four par 4's and two par 5's. No design fee was paid but an agreement was made to supply the members at Innerleithen Golf Club with William Park and Son's clubs.

The green fee will set you back the grand sum of £5.
