Surrounded by water on three sides, Castletown Golf Links on the Langness Peninsula has been touched by some of golf's greatest architects - Old Tom Morris and Alister MacKenzie. Unsurprisingly, there are sea views from every tee on the course!

Golf Course Review

The original Castletown Golf Links design was laid out by none other than Old Tom Morris in 1892. It was further updated by Alister MacKenzie after 1910 and before WW1. Philip Mackenzie Ross of Turnberry fame would return to Isle of Mann following WW2 to exert his influence.

The 7th hole is named “Race Course” as the first-ever derby horse race, The Manx Derby, was held on there over three furlongs in the 17th century. Below is a rare photo of the 15th tee in 1931.
