Full Course Review

The Carton House Montgomerie golf course is billed as the inland links as opposed to the O'Meara parkland. Carton House is billed as a luxury resort escape. With two golf courses on over 1,100 acres just 25 minutes from Dublin International Airport, it certainly fits the bill. The resort was the home of the FitzGerald family and is now a resort with 165 rooms now spread across the Carton House and Manor House.

The Carton House Montgomerie Golf Course has hosted the Irish Open three times. It was designed by Colin Montgomerie with cavernous bunkers as a hallmark of the designed. Unsurprisingly for a tournament venue, it is a par 72 and tips the scales at 7,301 yards. Routed alongside the Rye River, it comes into play on the first and last holes.
